Quite a few years ago Pat Jolly organized an art show titled "musician as artist". I sold my first piece ever at that show! So Pat holds a special place in my heart, heart. It was a portrait of a musician friend titled "Musician as Art". It is now part of the permanent collection that was hanging in the Upperline Restaurant. I've always got my eye out for interesting photos of my friends and associates on social media. So when Pat posted an awesome photo of herself in a tignon, I asked if I could use it as a reference. I loved working on the folds in the fabric of the head wrap. This is my portrait of New Orleans Artist Pat Jolly.
